Mourning 5 Brave Soldiers! Fourth Army Region Furiously Condemns Inhumane Southern Insurgents for Pipe-Bomb Attack in the Heart of Ra-ngae Community

The Fourth Army Region has issued an unequivocal condemnation after a group of assailants brazenly used war weapons and pipe bombs to assault a checkpoint in the middle of a community in Ra-ngae District, Narathiwat Province, killing five Rangers from Ranger Battalion 45 and wounding five civilians. The region also paid tribute to the heroic fallen soldiers and declared that authorities will move swiftly to hunt down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

Today (23 Jul.), the "Fourth Army Region" page posted a message expressing its deepest condolences over the loss of all five personnel from the Special Task Force of Ranger Battalion 45, following the attack in which assailants used firearms and pipe bombs to strike the Bukhesami Municipal checkpoint in Ra-ngae District, Narathiwat Province. The Fourth Army Region paid tribute to the courage and sacrifice of every fallen hero, and affirmed that it will provide the best possible care for the welfare and entitlements of the bereaved families. The region also extended its concern and moral support to the five civilians who were injured, wishing them all safety and a swift recovery.

Furthermore, the Fourth Army Region issued its most emphatic condemnation of this brazen and utterly inhumane act. The use of war weapons to carry out an attack in the heart of a community was not only aimed at harming officials on duty, but also constituted a deliberate endangerment of the lives and property of innocent civilians — particularly children, women, and the elderly — which is something society cannot accept under any circumstances. Authorities will urgently pursue and apprehend the offenders to face legal proceedings as quickly as possible.
