MGR Online — The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) has issued summonses for 2 senior figures from "SWU and DLA" on Section 157 charges, while also summoning the 11-member score-tampering team found at the home of "Director Pichit" to face the same charges.
Today (26 Jul.), a reporter said that a source from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) disclosed the latest developments in the corruption case involving the local government personnel selection examination. On 25 July, investigators from the Suppression Division submitted a petition to the Criminal Court seeking approval to issue arrest warrants for two suspects holding positions senior to "Director Pichit." However, the court, after consideration, found that both accused individuals still hold high-ranking positions, have fixed addresses, and that the evidence at this stage consists of testimony from suspects who had already been arrested. The court therefore deemed it appropriate to issue summonses for the two to acknowledge the charges rather than issuing arrest warrants.
It was also reported that on Monday, 27 July, investigators will issue summonses for 11 suspects who were found by police during a search of Director Pichit's residence in Bang Yai District, Nonthaburi Province. Among them are 9 civil servants and 2 private company employees, all discovered in the act of altering examinees' scores. Investigators will have them report to acknowledge the charges on Friday, 31 July.
It was further reported that all accused persons will be charged with the following offences: membership of a secret society and criminal association; an offence under Section 188 of the Penal Code for damaging, destroying, concealing, taking away, causing the loss of, or rendering useless documents belonging to others in a manner that may cause harm to others or to the public; and an offence under the Computer Crime Act 2007 for entering false data into a computer system.
