Deputy government spokesperson clarifies details of "Thai Help Thai x Local Low Cost" campaign covering discounted goods across 17 categories, and reveals names of local stores participating from 1–15 August.
Today (29 July 2026), Ms. Lalida Phertwiwattana, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, disclosed that following the government's announcement of the "Thai Help Thai, Reducing Burdens, Reducing the Cost of Living x Local Low Cost" fair — held jointly with the Ministry of Commerce, major consumer goods manufacturers, and local wholesale and retail operators nationwide from 1–15 August 2026 to help ease the public's cost of living — a large number of people have since enquired about which products are included in the discounts and which stores they can shop at. The government is therefore providing the following details to assist the public in planning their purchases.
The Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office said that the products participating in the campaign cover 17 categories of essential consumer goods. These are divided into 8 food categories — namely rice, fish sauce, cooking oil, soy sauce and condiments, sugar, instant noodles, canned food, and coffee — and 9 non-food categories — namely shampoo and conditioner, soap and shower cream, toothpaste and toothbrushes, laundry detergent and washing liquid, fabric softener, toilet bowl cleaner, dishwashing liquid, tissue paper, and sanitary pads and adult diapers. A large number of well-known leading brands familiar to consumers are participating, including Chattra rice, Mama instant noodles, Three Ladies brand canned fish, Nescafé, Sunsilk, Colgate, Omo, Downy, Lipon F, and Sofy.
Regarding sales channels, Ms. Lalida said the public can purchase specially priced goods at participating local wholesale and retail stores (Local Low Cost) throughout the country. Participating local stores familiar to consumers include, for example: Jaem Fa Save Mart in Lamphun Province, Thanaphiriya in Chiang Rai Province, Tang Ngee Soon Superstore in Udon Thani Province, Kiattsin Wholesale in Khon Kaen Province, Chaiyasaengdee Department Store in Sing Buri Province, Big Tae in Pathum Thani Province, Super Cheap in Phuket Province, and K&K Superstore in Songkhla Province. In total, more than 135 local retailers with over 800 branches are participating nationwide. Members of the public can check the list of participating stores in their province through announcements by the Department of Business Development, Ministry of Commerce, or look for the "Thai Help Thai x Local Low Cost" symbol at points of sale.
Ms. Lalida said that this fair is a collaboration between major consumer goods manufacturers and local wholesale and retail operators across the country, aimed at delivering essential goods to the public at special prices directly, thereby helping to reduce household living costs, while also creating trade opportunities for local stores, strengthening Thai entrepreneurs, and stimulating the circulation of money in the grassroots economy.
"The government invites the public to purchase essential consumer goods during 1–15 August 2026 at nearby participating local wholesale and retail stores in order to take full advantage of product discounts. Please note that product selections and discounts may vary by store depending on stock levels, so please verify the details at the point of sale once more," Ms. Lalida said.
