Li Qiang gives Prime Minister Anutin an official welcome in a warm atmosphere ahead of full plenary talks to advance Thailand-China cooperation on all fronts.
Today (Monday, 20 July 2026) at 10:45 a.m. local Beijing time, which is one hour ahead of Thailand, at the North Hall on the first floor of the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, People's Republic of China, Ms. Rachada Thanadirek, Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, took part in an official welcoming ceremony and inspected a guard of honour on the occasion of his official visit to the People's Republic of China.
The Prime Minister's Office Spokesperson said that upon arrival, the Prime Minister walked up the stairs through the guard of honour to the ceremonial area, where H.E. Mr. Li Qiang, Premier of the People's Republic of China, personally awaited him and extended a warm greeting, reflecting the friendship, mutual trust, and close ties between Thailand and China.
The two sides then posed for a joint photograph before proceeding to the saluting platform to attend the playing of both countries' national anthems and to jointly review the guard of honour, in a ceremony that was conducted with full dignity and grandeur, reaffirming the importance and mutual respect between the two countries as close friendly nations and key cooperative partners in the region.
On this occasion, the Prime Minister and the Premier of the People's Republic of China will hold full plenary talks to advance cooperation across various dimensions of mutual benefit to both countries, before jointly witnessing the signing ceremony of Thailand-China agreements and attending a luncheon hosted by the Premier of the People's Republic of China in honour of the Prime Minister and his spouse.

Premier Li Qiang hosted a luncheon in honour of the Prime Minister and the Thai delegation, in a warm and cordial atmosphere.
At the close of the event, Prime Minister Anutin was invited to join in singing "Tian Mi Mi," a widely beloved and well-known popular Chinese song, bringing smiles and a lasting impression to all those in attendance, and reflecting the close bonds and longstanding friendship between Thailand and China — a connection that extends not only at the government and economic levels but also through cultural ties and the heartfelt affinity between the peoples of both countries.
