PM visits CP Center office in Beijing, hails it as a model of success for Thai businesses in the Chinese market
Today (Sunday, 19 July 2026) at 19:40 hrs. (local Beijing time, which is one hour ahead of Thailand), in Beijing, People's Republic of China, Ms. Rachada Thanadirek, Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul and his delegation arrived in Beijing and visited the CP Center office, where they met and held discussions with executives of the group and its affiliated companies. The key points are summarised as follows: The Prime Minister met with CP executives, with CP being a source of pride as China's first foreign investor and a model of success for Thai businesses in the Chinese market, emphasising long-term investment that creates shared value between the two countries, with the hope that CP's experience and knowledge will be passed on to Thai entrepreneurs.
The Prime Minister also referred to the previous day's activities, during which he presided over the opening of the Thailand–China (Sichuan) Investment and Economic Forum 2026 and participated in the inauguration of the Investment Division at the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Chengdu (BOI Chengdu Office), as well as dining with more than 140 Thai private-sector business owners and professional executives at the Prime Minister–Thai Private Sector Luncheon event. He expressed confidence in the potential of the private sector to conduct business abroad, and affirmed that the government stands ready to support and facilitate the expansion of Thai private-sector investment in China in order to create business opportunities and sustainable growth going forward.
