The Prime Minister presides over the oath-taking ceremony to be good civil servants and a force for the nation on the occasion of His Majesty the King's Royal Birthday Celebration, 28 July 2026. Ms. Rachada Thanadirek, Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed that today (28 July 2026) at 07:30 hrs., at the main stage at Sanam Luang, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, presided over the oath-taking ceremony to be good civil servants and a force for the nation on the occasion of His Majesty the King's Royal Birthday Celebration, 28 July 2026. The President of the National Assembly, the President of the Supreme Court, the President of the Senate, the Presidents of constitutional bodies, the Cabinet, the Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, senior government officials, military personnel, police, civilians, the private sector, and members of the public all joined the ceremony in full attendance.
Upon arriving at the main stage at Sanam Luang, the Prime Minister ascended the stage, paid respects before the royal portrait of His Majesty the King, then presented incense and candles and opened the cone-shaped floral offerings.
The Prime Minister then offered a royal blessing address and led the oath of allegiance to be good civil servants and a force for the nation before the royal portrait, as follows:
I, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister, on behalf of civil servants and government officials throughout the country, am filled with immense joy and delight at the opportunity to come together to express our loyalty and to take the oath to be good civil servants and a force for the nation on the occasion of Your Majesty's Royal Birthday Celebration, 28 July 2026.
All of us are fully aware of Your Majesty's heart, overflowing with compassion for all subjects, as Your Majesty has diligently performed numerous royal duties with unwavering dedication, bringing peace, happiness, and prosperity to the people and to the country. Your Majesty has set a noble example for all civil servants in the service of the nation and has graciously bestowed upon us royal guidance of the utmost value. All of us shall take this guidance to heart and act upon it to achieve fruitful results in fulfilling Your Majesty's wishes, worthy of being servants of the land with loyal devotion. We shall hold Your Majesty's boundless royal grace above our heads forever.
On this most auspicious occasion, all of us wish to offer royal blessings and set our hearts in prayer, invoking the power of the Triple Gem and all sacred things in the universe, as well as the power of Phra Siam Devadhiraj, to watch over and bless Your Majesty with prosperity and auspiciousness, a long life, happiness, royal might, and far-reaching prestige, remaining as the revered guardian and protector of all of us, your subjects, for eternity.
I humbly request Your Majesty's gracious permission to lead the civil servants and government officials in taking the oath in repayment of Your Majesty's royal grace, as follows:
"I, Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, hereby solemnly swear that I will conduct myself as a good civil servant and a force for the nation, with honesty and integrity, following in Your Majesty's footsteps, with firm and unwavering resolve to address the problems of the nation and the people, to create benefits for the land, and to lead my life in accordance with the principles of religious teachings and the guidance of royal instructions forever."
Upon conclusion, the Prime Minister and all participants joined in singing the Royal Anthem and the Hymn to the Sovereign. The Prime Minister then led the chanting of "Long Live the King" three times, bringing the ceremony to a close.
The oath-taking ceremony to be good civil servants and a force for the nation on the occasion of His Majesty the King's Royal Birthday Celebration, 28 July 2026, comprised activities at both the central and regional levels. For the central-level activities, the oath-taking ceremony was held at Sanam Luang, organized by the Office of the Civil Service Commission, which also invited government agencies to hold their own ceremonies at their respective premises during the period of 20–28 July 2026. The public was also invited to sign the oath online through the Office of the Civil Service Commission's website at www.ocsc.go.th until 31 July 2026.
