TSE Accelerates Clean Energy Business to Support Sustainable Revenue Growth

Thai Solar Energy is pressing ahead with the development of its Solar Big Lot Phase 1–2 projects, with a combined installed capacity of 229.06 megawatts. The company has partnered with world-class solar panel and inverter manufacturers to support the implementation of the projects as planned, with commercial operations expected to begin from 2027 onward. Management is confident that Solar Big Lot will serve as a key driver of revenue growth, reduce debt levels, and strengthen the business over the long term.

Dr. Kathleen Maleenonn, Chief Executive Officer of Thai Solar Energy Public Company Limited (TSE), disclosed that the company continues to build growth in its clean energy business, reaffirming the strength of its business plan. It is developing the Solar Big Lot Phase 1–2 projects with a combined installed capacity of 229.06 megawatts, while expanding partnerships with world-class solar panel and inverter manufacturers. The Solar Big Lot projects reflect future recurring revenue growth, reduced debt levels, and long-term business strength. The company also benefits from stable and predictable cash flows from its already-operational renewable energy power plants, which operate under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and deliver stable performance.

TSE is currently executing the Solar Big Lot projects in accordance with its plan and is in negotiations with partners to procure key equipment for the projects. Most recently, the company signed cooperation agreements with leading global solar panel manufacturers and suppliers — LONGi and Astronergy — as well as with leading inverter manufacturer and supplier Sungrow. These partnerships will enhance the company's readiness to develop the projects, and construction work has commenced within the established timeline.

For the Solar Big Lot projects, the first phase will consist of 4 projects with a combined installed capacity of 30.20 megawatts, targeting commercial operation dates (COD) in early 2027. This will be followed by the phased launch of a further 24 projects with a combined installed capacity of 198.86 megawatts, to be completed during the 2028–2030 period.

Thailand's renewable energy industry continues to show significant growth momentum, supported by government backing through the new national Power Development Plan (PDP), which aims to increase the share of electricity generation from clean energy sources, as well as rising electricity demand from the private sector. This creates opportunities for the company, which possesses both the experience and expertise in the clean energy business, to continuously expand its investment and grow its operations.

"The company continues to expand its investment in the renewable energy business in order to create stable long-term growth. With our expertise and experience in the clean energy business, the Solar Big Lot projects, which will begin achieving COD from 2027 onward, will support revenue and earnings growth, reduce debt levels, strengthen the company's financial position, and generate strong returns for shareholders over the long term," said Dr. Kathleen.
