Good news for passengers travelling on Thai Smile Boat electric ferries: fare payment under the "Thai Chuay Thai Plus 60/40" scheme is now accepted across all 3 routes, starting from 1 August through 30 September 2026.
Thai Smile Boat Co., Ltd., the operator of electric passenger ferries on the Chao Phraya River, is moving forward with joining the government's "Thai Chuay Thai Plus 60/40" scheme in order to facilitate travel and align with the policy of helping ease the cost-of-living burden for the public. Passengers may begin scanning to use their benefits starting from 1 August onwards.
Regarding the use of benefits for Thai Smile Boat electric ferry fares, passengers who redeem their entitlement will pay only 12 baht per trip, down from the regular fare of 30 baht, in order to reduce everyday living costs for the public in accordance with government policy — while also promoting tourism and travel by clean-energy transport, further reducing the release of pollution into the environment. Passengers can notify staff at the pier or the fare collector on board, and redeem their benefits via the Paotang application, from 1 August through 30 September 2026.
The Thai Chuay Thai Plus entitlement will be applicable across all 3 Thai Smile Boat electric ferry routes, comprising the Green Line (City Line) on the Siam Charoen Nakhon–Phra Pin Klao route, the Purple Line (Urban Line) on the Sathon–Phra Nang Klao route, and the Blue Line (Metro Line) on the Tha Nam Non–Wat Worachanyawat route. Furthermore, once the allocated benefit has been fully used, passengers may still pay using a HOP Card with the Daily Max Fare, travelling unlimited throughout the day for just 40 baht.
